Branch Projects

Reading is Fundamental

The vision of RIF is a literate America in which all children have access to books and discover the joys and value of reading.   We inspire children to be lifelong readers through the power of choice.  RIF provides new, free books for children to choose from and make their own.  The Circleville branch of AAUW supports this project by delivering three free book throughout the school year to every second grade student in Pickaway County.  As this project is no longer federally funded, financial support is provided by local service organizations, the elementary schools we serve and caring individuals.

Be Wise Camp. Be WISE Camp’s mission is to develop interest, excitement, and self-confidence in middle school girls in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).  The camp is designed to provide real-life, hands-on experiences in STEM using problem solving and thinking skills.  We hope to encourage and motivate the girls to enroll in more STEM classes at the high school and college levels to prepare them for careers in a STEM field.
